ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY LOANS
Assistive technology includes both devices and services. A device is any item or piece of equipment used to maintain or improve the functional capabilities of a person with a disability. Assistive technology includes, but is not limited to, the following: hearing aids, dentures (partial dentures and implants), mobility equipment, modified vehicles, home modifications, computers and software, braille devices, adaptive recreational equipment.
Interest rate is 5.0%
Assistive Technology Loan amounts up to $25,000, loan term can range up to 5 years depending on the expected life of the assistive technology purchased and the borrower’s budget.
Home modifications and modified vehicles loans are up to $60,000 with a term range of up to 10 years.
Washington, Oregon, and Idaho residents of all ages with disabilities of all types, including seniors with age-related functional limitations, are eligible. Click here for a loan application.
FINANCIAL COACHING
Northwest Access Fund’s financial coaching program combines benefits planning with financial education and support in order to meet the unique needs of people with disabilities. Coaching is always free and services are provided by phone or via zoom. Coaches work one-on-one with clients to provide support with things like: Credit building, Benefits, Saving, Budgeting, Banking, Resource Navigation, Advocacy and support for financial and benefits related issues.
