BRIDGES: A Center for Grieving Children
BRIDGES supports families with children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are coping with a loved one’s serious diagnosis or who have experienced the death of someone they care about. It offers the following services to help families navigate illness and grief. Camp Erin and all of the peer support groups are facilitated by trained volunteers.
- Discoveries Program: Support for coping with a family member’s serious illness.
- BRIDGES: Bereavement support following the death of a parent or sibling.
- Passages: Bereavement support following the death of an extended family member or friend.
- Camp Erin: Grief support and education for children through a three-day camp experience.
- Bridges also provides educational resources for community members, helping professionals and organizations on a variety of topics related to loss and grief.
